So it looks like there could be real progress made on the revocation of the whole stupid “Let’s Play Pretend!” policy the military currently has towards lesbians and gays. Looks like Obama realized he needed to start doing some cool shit soon or he’d be losing his base of support.
Some people, including this queer army wife, point out the high costs of staying closeted for the honor of fighting for the freedom of people back home.
Others, including this openly Republican Congressperson, seems to think letting in all them queers and hermaphrodites is gonna cause chaos in the bathroom….even though gay people have been serving forever, just silently. But then, Republicans today seem to believe a whole lot of stupid shit.
But some top Republicans, including John McCain, might be coming around.
