Jill McDevitt, I have decided, is something of a Rorschach test. The way people react to her usually says far more about them than it does about her.
By the ripe old age of 21, Jill was already a small business owner, having opened a boutique shop in West Chester, PA that specialized in sexuality education and female pleasure. Not only did she excel at the increasingly daunting task of being a small business owner in America, she did it in spite of the concerted efforts of everyone from the guy who has to approve your store signage to a mayoral candidate. Oh, and she got sued by a church.
Having bested these foes, who neither understood what she was about nor sexuality in general, Jill has written a book about the experiences. You can now add “published author” behind the list of things at which she rules.
We sat down to discuss the adventure of petite blonde Jill against the astoundingly illogical anti-pleasure forces, the dreams she has for her sexuality education empire and the beliefs that keep her going.
