It’s Throwback Thursday and time for a vintage piece. This one originally went up in September of 2011.

He influenced  fashion, the club scene and the art world, inspiring such notables as Boy GeorgeAlexander McQueenVivienne Westwood,  John Galliano, the Scissor SistersDavid LaChapelleLady Bunny… and OBVIOUSLY, Lady Gaga.

“Periferal in the notion of art practice by combining dandyism and body art, reconstructed his image while performing ‘Walk this Way’- a rendition of Run DMC’s remake of Aerosmith’s original that uses the expression of the ‘other’ to create a form of cultural lip-syncing transvestism.”
