Dealing with “Well Meaning” Slut-Shamers

sluts and whoresIt’s Thursday and time for a #TBT vintage podcast. This one originally went up July 2014.

The Christian mommy blogger who wrote “My Husband Doesn’t Need to See Your Boobs” was only the tip of the iceberg. Plenty of folks are aware that it’s inappropriate and mean to call someone a harlot directly, but it doesn’t stop them from circuitously doing it. Telling other people what to do with their bodies and claiming moral rationales for dress codes is still whack, no matter how much you claim not to be judging anyone.

How do we deal with more subtle forms of slut shaming? And how can we check ourselves for latent, unconscious sex negativism? Check out this episode and hit me up with your thoughts.
