JUICE is Connecting Queer Women of Color

her philly moves.jpgA common refrain in the queer scene is how few options there are for women. There is a new bar that caters to this audience, but what about outside of the gayborhood? And what about an experience that centers queer women of color?
Enter Her Philly Moves, the brainchild of three ambitious, creative young women. Among their many projects, they started JUICE, an all-ages daytime event with live performances, art vendors and a dance party.  I sat down with Daiyon and DJ Jamz to talk about how the project started, changing the landscape of the party scene, how to make a party feel welcoming to QWOC, the realities of being a college student in 2017 and a whole lot more.
