It’s hard enough to get accurate, ethical, comprehensive sexuality education to young people- it’s made even harder when they have any form of disability. Our culture often treats people with disabilities as either sexless or uncontrollable, and often eschews talking to them about sex at all. Caretakers are rarely equipped to handle these specific issues but they do have an option: reaching out to a consultant who is specifically trained in this realm. Enter Galia Godel, a bright, insightful and wildly intelligent professional educator who is making it possible for her clients to more safely navigate the world of dating.
We talk about her work, figuring out her own sexual orientation, the concept of asexuality and a whole lot more! Side note: she’ll be guest co-host at DTF: Darryl and Timaree Fun Hour Feb 9th!
