Psychoanalysis is usually associated with Freud, laying on a couch and weird thoughts about your parents. But there’s a lot more to it than that and Philly-based psychotherapist Courtney Douds is here to give us a more up-to-date understanding.
A member of the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis and bolstered by a slew of degrees, including one specializing in Human Sexuality, Courtney can help clients with the usual issues of depression and anxiety but also with their gender adventures and navigating the complexities of kink and polyamory. This stands in stark contrast to the lack of sexuality training received by most counselors.
She also happens to be one of the most interesting humans in the world and possibly the world’s youngest elderly person, since all her hobbies (including falconry) are super esoteric and old-timey.
