Finding media that depicts people like you and tells stories like yours is not an easy task for everyone. While representation for queer people is getting better, especially in television, LGBT folks are still hungry to see their realities reflected back to them.

Erin McGregor, a long time fan of listening to podcasts, was curious how that medium could be used to tell the stories of queer people. She assembled a team and spent years preparing for the project that would ultimately become Queer Public.
She chats with me about the process of making deep-dive examinations of facets of queer life and showcasing the daily lives of different queer folks and their communities. She shares her favorite interviews and gives some hints about forthcoming episodes.
